Chicago
I’m in Chicago now. My legs are jello. I bought a big winter jacket and white shoes.

Ellen Allien.
Berlinette is the first album that comes to mind. A perfect mix of minimal techno/house with her amazing vocals laid over. Alles Sehen is what I consider the standout track, remember put on some headphones.
Orchestra of Bubbles is the album to check out after that. Her collaboration with German IDM/Glitch artist Apparat is seriously the equivalent of eating candy with your ears.

Definitely one of my favorites so far this year, the Lindstrøm album Where You Go I Go Too Is a three song long EP filled with so much micro-house layering you can hardly handle it. Pair this with your favorite mind-altering substance and a good pair of headphones and you’ll be set for 55.1 minutes.
Here’s a Prins Thomas edit of one of the tracks.
The list of things I have to do is long. Or at least feels that way. I’ll type it out here to constantly remind myself of what I’m ignoring.
- Get a haircuit.
- Sell my car, or at least stick a for sale sign on it (I’ll miss my Saturn)
- Buy a winter jacket/ Clothing in general
- Make sure I’m caught up with shots
- Purchase furnishings for my apartment-dorm.
- Finish grad party thank you cards (this shit is way passed due)
Most of these tasks can be completed within a day. Though the reason I haven’t done that can be attributed to my 10 - 6pm job I work 5 days a week. Lord knows on my days off I want to enjoy them.
Thankfully, I finish my job for the summer this coming Thursday. That gives me just about a week to complete all of these tasks. (With the exception of sell the car, that can be completed when I’m gone. I just would like to see the $$$ from it.)
Alright, I’m going to run downstairs for an iced chai smoothie.
11 days from today I’ll be moving to Chicago.
In the mean time, I start things like this to distract myself from doing anything productive with my time.
